Thanks for the great link! I was just at Eastwood, checking out their MIG welders and plasma cutters ... didn't think to check for window glass tutorials. We did it VERY similar to this, right down to taping the gasket in place (which, at the time, I thought was cheating AND a sign of weakness) ... so close that I see no sense in retrying it, but it was good validation of my technique. If I had the right gasket, I believe I could get the old (cracked) glass back in, but not the new ones.

I'm going to guess that LMC and CC use the same supplier, and the supplier got it wrong. Hopefully someone will have some measurements off a known good rear window. The LMC "order taker" said my measurements for the window they shipped matches what they say a '66 F100 should use, FWIW.

I guess I'll call Rick at CC and see what he says. If that yields no solution, I'll have to take a trip in the "big city" ... after my clutch pedal is fixed!

Well, I was referring to the glass. I didn't even look at the gasket I got from CC. I don't think the glass comes from DC, as they don't seem to carry glass (based on a catalog search).

You guess wrong my friend, stay away from LMC. CC gets gaskets from Dennis Carpenter that are made to Ford specks.

The NAGS (National Auto Glass Society) part number for the back glass is 1052T / All autoglass shops go by NAGS numbers, so contact one, give them this number and ask for its measurements.

I would assume all the repro parts sellers are buying the glass from autoglass shops, because who else would carry it?

The repro parts sellers are prolly no different from the Ford Dealers. Since it only takes about 24 hours or so to order/receive a piece of glass, they don't carry it in stock, only ordering it when someone needs it.

John: Some members have reported that when they bought weatherstrips from LMC, when they opened the LMC box, inside were the weatherstrips inside packages marked Dennis Carpenter!

Thanks Mr. Bill, I wasn't aware, but if they want to sell the best, they will have to go to DC.
