Thugs

After 17 years of peaceful living in the country, we moved in to one of the nicer communities in Ok. We are living in an apt until our house is built. What happens in less than a week? My drivers rear window gets busted out, and my Sony DVD gone!!

Now the factory stereo is back in it, and I have an alarm system!!! Unbelievable!!

It could have been much worse I suppose...

That is why it could have been worse. The idiot could have taken my Garmin if he would have opened the console. Plus he didn't tear anything up to get the stereo out. I am out about 700 and some change for a window and the alarm system.

Sorry that happened to you Moe!

My truck got broken into in Frisco, Tx, which is one of the richer areas of Dallas. It never seems to happen when you leave it in the hood, the thieves know where the high dollar stuff is. I guess the jack holes that hit mine got spooked in the middle of it, I had about a grand of cordless tools on the backseat in plain sight but they didn't touch anything I leave everything in the toolbox now, my cab is bare most days.

At least it's just stuff and they left the trucks behind, right guys

I live in a little country town and not much crime happens at all, usually just basic vandalism. A lot of people in my town actually leave their keys in their unlocked vehicles. Yesterday me and a friend drove into the big city to pick up some roofing material and when we got back someone had moved his truck from in front of my house to across the street in a parking lot. We don't know who did it or why and his truck is a piece with nothing in it so we know noone stole anything and nothing was messed up. They simply just moved it across the street. It was pretty weird.

Why did you leave the peaceful country life? I never want to live where I can look out my window and into my neighbor's.

I completely agree! I just hope they figured out that the stereo wasn't an expensive unit, and was a waist of their time!! Of course the 50 bucks they get out of it will go for some meth supplies!! Grrrrr!

10k in fuel per year just to go to work, and nearly 2 hours per day in drive time. It was a hard decision to say the least!

Yeah that seems like it sucks but for me its worth it to live in my tiny town surrounded by cornfields. I couldn't see myself moving.

Tyler, I do wish I could have caught him. I would like to see the facial expression when he is looking down my Springfield 40!! But then there would be another kind of mess to clean up, a muddy seat! lol

Thanks Benny.

Its an Autopage system with remote start. Mine has a 1/4 mile range. The one mile range unit was over a bill more, so I opted out of that on. It was 453.00 installed.
