Has anyone took a starter from an 02 and put it on an 2000? The 00 has a big starter and the other one is little. Just curious before I try it. Both trucks are 7.3 automatics

i have put a 2 blot starter on a 3 bolt.

 

Why would you want to replace that Mitsubishi "planetary gear-reduction" starter with a NipponDenso "offset gear-reduction" type?

If you have the higher-torque Mitsu one, you have a very-good starter! About the only thing that ever goes bad is the solenoid contacts on them, and the solenoid is available as a replacement piece-part.
