Header Options?

Hey guys, finishing up my 460 install in my 79 f-250 4x4 and was wondering what options I had as far as headers. I know l&l and "mad dog" but is there any others around that price range, or should I bite the bullet and get the l&l headers? If I do get the l&l's, will they work with a t-18 tranny or will the clutch linkage get in the way? I really want the full length chassis exit style. Thanks!

I don't know of any header company that makes a chassis exit header that they claim will work with the manual trans. Yes some will but they almost all say auto only IIRC

Have you considered a mid-length, shortie style header? I wish i had on my 82. My headers clear everything just fine (I have an auto) but dump right in front of the tranmission cross member making it very difficult to route the exhaust from there.

with a shortie style header, you can run the pipes pretty much however you want from there.

Some reasons why I would never own a set of inboard headers. Outboard is just a straight shot back and look so cool.
