So if a truck has 223572 what would you call the other four numbers?

6 digit DSO:

22 = Charlotte NC Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.

3572 = Domestic Special Order number, the truck was ordered special by the original purchaser, not "bought off the lot."

Correctamundo, except 1962 and earlier trucks do not have a DSO code unless they are a Domestic Special Order and then only have the four digit DSO number.
