I just recently got a 1962 F-100 Custom Cab, some one has pryed the vin tag off of the glove box, I can't find one on the door, didn't they stamp the vin on the frame somewhere? they did on my 1949 F-1, just wondering if anyone can tell me where to find the Vin on the frame.
Secondly, yes, the "VIN" is stamped on the frame. I know the 65's have them on the top of the frame rail, passenger side between the spring hat and the radiator shell. The other location I have heard is side or top of passenger side frame rail, under the passenger side of the cab. I think that is for the older trucks...
You'll find it on the passanger side frame rail on the top anywhere between the shock tower and the cab support. Mine is right over the brake line hole. Welcome aboard.
Thank for the help after a few min's of scratching and cleaning I did find it on the passenger side frame rail in the engine compartment. thanks for the help
