Mustang Engine Swap
So it seems my son has gotten his hands on a 96 Mustang with the little V6 in it. While he thinks the thing to do is try to stuff my old 65 289 in it, I am thinking one of the 4.6 V8 mod motors would be the answer. Anyone got a source on any tech articals or write ups on such a swap? While I am pretty sure we could figure it all out as we go, I would love to have everything we need in a pile before we even start. Thanks in advance guys.

Since '96 GT's actually came with a 4.6, I'd probably look into buying a totaled, but complete GT with everything you need. But, another thing to think of is how much work is really involved. Then see what you could sell the V6 car for, and how much a similar GT of the same year would cost. I'll bet you will find that it really isn't cost effective to do a V8 swap on that car, because they are quite affordable with the 4.6 already in it.
