4.6 engine swap

has anyone swapped
in a modular 4.6 into a early truck?
i saw a 1997 crown victoria with a 4.6 v8 and automatic with 50k miles.
it is hit in the rear and should sell pretty cheap.
i am not new to engine swaps but was wondering if they are tough to wire, does anyone make an aftermarket wiring harness for this engine?and are there anti theft issues to deal with?
also not sure if this is attached to an overdrive trans or just a 3 speed.

I wish someone would respond. I am considering a 4.6 or 5.4 mod motor swap into a 66 F100. I know wiring harnesses are available for a 5.0 swap. Transmission controlers are available for the aoe transmissions. I'd like to see info on motor mounts as well. The Junk Yards are full of these engines and surley someone has done this swap before.

If you want to do a mod motor swap you have to check out www.modularfords.com . You can find just about anything you need to know there.

I'm moving a 1997 F150 4.6 to a 1964 f100. The wiring harness was damaged in the extraction of the engine. Let me tell ya, replacing that harness today is a nightmare and the security function is another pain in the tailgate.
