7.3 idi

Got a 7.3 idi motor in my truck
Gunna change my valve cover gaskets and my lifter pump gaskets cuz they are leaking and while I got the pump off I'm goin to change it bc it's getting weak
don't want to sink alot of money into this motor as I'm doing a motor swap in the future but I'm looking to get a little mote power out of this for now
What can I do to it?
Injectors? Or something
Just something to help spin my tires a Lil better In the mud

Let it breath better, intake, exhaust, and make sure your timing is properly set....so you just need a bit of power now? Gave up on the 500hp ?

What motor you got planned for it now?

Grammar goes a long ways towards not annoying people, and spell check is free...

Try tightening your valve cover bolts before just replacing the gasket. WTF is a lifter pump.. do you by chance mean lift pump?

Diesel + turbo = power, want more power, add more fuel / air.

After re-reading your old thread, heres my advice: Go buy a 90's dodge with a cummins, youll be happier for it.

Yeah I'm still doing a 500 hp motor. That's why I said I'm doing a motor swap.
I'm going to put a 12v in it and role some coal. That's the motor I'ma build to be around the 500 hp mark.
I'm just looking for a Lil pep till then to help turn my tires.
I was told chamging my LIFT pump that is weak will make a difference.
And I did try tightening my valve cover bolts, that wad my first thought.
The turbo is pricey and I ddont want to sink that much into this motor unless I can find me cheap one for a few hundred or something like that since I'll be putting a cummins I do wanna spend all my time and money In this motor

Well lucky for me you chimed in with that helpful information, not sure what we would have done without it... They say great minds think alike... maybe that goes both ways.
