DANG, you gotta be at least a chick or two ahead by now. But this mod should catch me up real quick.................
My signature line is full. When I did the audio upgrades I had to take a couple of mods off my truck to fit it in there. FTE was telling me it was too long, that is how you know when you are done I guess

A 6.7 wont add any fuel to your motor oil and it comes with your rings seated already. You can get a little soot in there thats why it gets the oil so black so fast. And you have to idle for a real long to wet stack a 6.7 we have one in our fleet at work thats has almost a 140,000 miles with no problems except a fan clutch and we let it idle alot more than a hour a day thats why it uses def and not fuel to regen and look at how many hours are your 6.7 already when u puchas it the rings are seated in the factory

Reason: oh yeah
The 6.7L can have fuel in the oil.
My blackstone reports are around 2%.
Also, DEF has little to do with active regeneration.
Maybe I misunderstand your post?
The factory oil has very important additives in it leave it for at least five thousand you will be glad you did
Fonrday,
I read the PS diesel supplement, and under break in period it just says to use the correct oil in the engine. It also says "Do not add any friction modifier compounds or special break-in oils during the first few thousand miles". Just curious where you read/heard about not changing the oil before 5000 miles. Thanks!!!
Gavin

I too am very curious to know more about this topic.

Just spoke to Ford about this. They no longer use a "crate" oil or "break in" oil. Its just plain ole 10w30, semi synthetic, API-CJ4. Same as available over the counter.
I am at 475 miles as of this evening. I have even been letting my wife drive it just to get miles on it. I can't wait to hook the camper up and go for a spin down the highway. Big 500 here we come!
P.S. After the 500 mile mark no more test drives for the wife!
