Troubleshooting door ajar switch

I guess that would be a great reason to break out that new AE that's in my toolbox.
I tried that before, it didn't help but it did make me less concerned about it.
Now I just need to break out the Crown and 7, my AE, the laptop, and the water hose. I can't see how this could go wrong.

my new Nocona 5610 does not know there are door switches, what a PITA....
I'm trying to find out where the bad part or broken wire is.
