1978 dentside bed mount question

just inherited a 78 f 250 with a bored out 351w the bed was just lying on top of frame with 2 4x4 posts between frame and bed. old owner tore truck down to paint so i dont know if the wood post served a pupose or were just there for ****es and giggles. i also have a coffee can full of bolts i found the bed bolts (ithink) but not sure if rubber is needed between bed and frame or if it sits steel to steel i plan to put bed on beggining of next week and need some help figuiring out how to put bed back on truck properly. thanks for the help. forgot to add i took bed off without paying attention to how it sat

While ford did use wood blocks in the 50's and 60's, This year truck was steel on steel.
the bed bolts would be square shanked below the round head. Carriage bolt, but different. longer square section.

BTW, it is a 351M, not a W for Windsor. Unless of course some put some extra effort in it.
