Alright so when I got my 58 there was no bed. I have now found a bed. The truck had a long bed step side from factory and that's what I'm using. The new bed currently has no floor. As for right now I'm going to put down some wood. My question is on how to mount the new bed. Do the bolts go through the wood, then through the metal support and then through the frame?

 

My styleside bed is steel as you probably know and the bolts go top down through the floor. There are mounting blocks (wood) that go between the bed and the frame.
