Gross vehicle weight on the sticker is max LOADED weight and has no bearing on the weight of the truck. Likewise, subtracting payload from gross vehicle weight is not gonna get you very close.
You need to either have it weighed on a real scale, or find a spec sheet somewhere which might get you close but it will never be exact due to the variety of options.
just curious as i have a camper and wanted to be sure i have a cushion for gross combined weight...registration said 5345 lbs and owner's manual says 14500 gcwr and max trailer weight 8800 lbs
Is your camper a trailer or an onboard camper? If it is onboard, it must be under the payload listed on the door sticker when combined with all passengers and other items loaded in the truck.
