How Much

How much weight is safe to haul in a long bed F150 with no damage to axels or rearend truck has Straight 6 automatic tranny

Find the Gross Vehicle weight rating. It should posted on the driver side door jam. Have the truck weighed at a weigh station to determine the unloaded weight.

(gross weight - unloaded weight) = Payload. This is how much you can LEGALLY carry.

You can roughly estimate the unloaded weight by using the base factory curb weight ( no options) and factoring in the additional weight of options such as AC, automatic, bedliner etc...

The base curb weight on mine is 3955#. GVWR is 6250.
