That tag is off of a NP203 transfer case
BTW Welcome to FTE, lots of good, knowledgeable people here.
Oh, OK I was hoping it was not going to be a 203. Well not being able to look at my truck at the moment I have another question. I there are hubs in the front does that mean that the 203 has been converted to an in and out case? Also what is a divorced transfer case?
I'm not really 4WD so not sure about the hubs but on the divorced transfer case. Earlier F250's (AKA "highboy") had the transfer case mounted separately from the transmission. A short driveshaft was used to connect the two. A "married" transfer case was bolted directly to the back of the transmission.
This is one of the "tells" of a true highboy (not a Ford term BTW). It will have a divorced tranfer case. Highboys were produced through mid-77.
