f36spfa3846 this is all i have..... had to find it on the frame to obtain title.!no other numbers or stickers anywhere.... from what research i've done these numbers only tell me 1 ton , 400 cid , twin cities , fa3846 ? is there any way to cross reference this vin to find out color , model , trim etc... thanks

The driver's door originally had a metal warranty plate that contained all the information codes.
You can contact Kevin Marti www.martiauto.com for a "Marti Report". This will contain all the info including dates and production numbers. He can also reproduce a metal warranty plate and the paper door cert. sticker for your truck. All you need to do is send him your VIN, he has the records to look up the rest.
The FA3846 in your VIN is the sequential serial number for your truck. When you're ordering parts and you see something like "after s/n TS0001" that is the number they're referring to.
