These symptoms would also be somewhat consistent with a failing fuel pump (fails to start or stalls when hot). What are the chances you have a fuel pressure tester?

I had a Ranger with an issue that when it got up to 80 outside or so, it would die, and not restart. I would usually wait an hour or more, then it would fire up. I got the codes checked and it was the Fuel Pump Circuit Open/ CPU to Ground code (what ever that meant)!

Needless to say, no fuel pressure (using a pen, I opened the pressure relief valve when it died and didnt even get a puff). I replaced the fuel pump, sending unit, filter, inertia switch, all relays, pressure regulator, and installed additional grounding cables to the engine bay, and still got no where. I finally sent the truck off to the junk yard.

I am really curious to see what comes out of this with your issue!

That sounds like an issue with the driver in the PCM, probably a blown transistor. A new or rebuilt PCM probably would have fixed the issue after you replaced all the other parts. Likely the pump or wiring issue caused the transistor to blow.

Good to know! Unfortunately when I posted the problem many months ago, it was baffling to many, so I figured it was time to call it a wash..

I appreciate the updates! I do not like any problem getting the best of me! LOL
