Longer starts when hot

Is it normal for my truck to take longer to start when hot than when completely cold? I counted 3 seconds until start after running the truck for about and hour. When it's cold it start immediately.

This isnt uncommon . Try depressing the accelerator pedal just slightly when cranking the engine. See if the truck then starts more quickly when warm.

Too much advance (timing) also will start longer/harder when hot.

Let us know if depressing the accelerator pedal makes a difference. It wouldnt hurt to check the initial timing if there is still a problem starting warm.

I will try that

But for future reference I have no idea how to set the timing. I know how to do it on my Nissan but that doesn't help me too much.
