I hope that those that have a 3" receiver are using a 3/4" pin. It is a common problem because only a 5/8" pin will go thru a smaller shank and the receiver takes a beating.

I have one of these too. However, the receiver end where the key goes in is so big it interferes with attaching the chains. Have to take the key end off and attach the chains and then force it back on. Because of this, I only use it when I want it locked. I have a 2012 with the factory hitch.

I drive a motorcycle to work and over the last year I have found an easy 6 or 8 lying on the side of the road. They are handy to put under metal wheel ramps so the ramps don’t collapse under a superduty.


i don’t understand why they fall out...most of the time every vehicle I ever had, the reducers were rusted in and couldn’t be banged out.
