Does anybody know the difference between the the 300 4.9l inline 6s that where put in the vehicles in 1976 specifically between the f100, f150,f250 and from what I heard the dump trucks
The "heavy duty" engines in the f600 and higher trucks have a larger exhaust manifold and possibly lower compression pistons than the passenger car 300, but everything else is the same. The f-series pickups all use the smaller exhaust.

The 300 was never available in a "passenger car". In vans, yes, trucks, yes, passenger car, no.
The 240 was available in Fullsize Ford cars 65-74 but not the 300.
Sure. We're getting into legal vs descriptive language. Parts catalogs call it a passenger car motor, and most pickups/vans are registered as passenger cars, vs the official truck designation on a ten-ton box truck.
