No such thing as a diesel industrial 300. HD 300 had a steel crank, valve rotaters, and a couple of other things. I'm too lazy to look it up but it's spelled out in my Haynes. If you can get the industrial cheap, throw a rebuild at it and make sure it's got enough squeeze in it before you install.

I'm surprised there's no diesels. I would think a compressor application would have been a high probability.
