My '64 F-100 has both driver and passenger side sun visors.
I understand that the passenger side sun visor was optional.
The mounting for the visors are triangular aluminum brackets that screw onto the roof pillars with three screws. In order to fit properly, the brackets should be mirror-images of each other, not identical, because the mountings are not symmetric.
On my truck, the passenger side visor bracket is identical to, not a mirror image of, the driver side bracket. Consequently, only two of the three mounting-screw holes line-up with the holes in the roof pillar. The visor was "rigged" into place.
What's up with that?
Both visors are identical in color, aging and wear. So, I don't think it was an after-market add-on. Was this standard for dual-visor trucks or was it maybe a factory "rig" of the wrong part?
