I am wanting to check my fuel pressure today. I have looked through pages of threads but cont find what fitting/adaptor is needed for the pass side port on the bowl. I don't have much time today so I can't be running back and forth for parts.
Any help?
Thanks!
The threads are 7/16-20 thread. You can get a standard #4 JIC (flared fitting) from a hydraulic supply or if you go to the hardware store you can get flared fittings in brass. Then you just need an o-ring to place over the threads. The o-rings are AS568-904's. Like mentioned, you can pull the o-ring off the plug you remove and reinstall it when complete, just don't damage it.
I make my own fittings using JIC fittings as they are easy to find. You can leave the flare portion as it does not interfere with anything in the fuel bowl.
After machining off the flare.
This is a SAE 37 degree (JIC) flared fitting. You can also use 45 degree flared as they both have 7/16-20 threads for #4 or 1/4" adapters.
That is the kit I got from Harbor freight. It did have a hose that screwed directly into the passenger side port but then I could not connect to the gauge. So I ended up having to get a 1/4 x1/4 male to male flare fitting. Then I could screw that into the port and use a different hose supplied with the kit.
This post is for else looking for this info in the future.
