DIY Regulated Return w/fuel bowl delete.
I made some time to finish this project this weekend. Here is what I did.
I started by disconnecting the batt cables.I removed the AIH and glow plug relays and did not want to make sparks fly if I ground them.
You can see what I removed to get to things.
I put a 45* 1/8" to #6 AN in both the pass and driver front heads. This make it easy to hook up the lines.
I used a straight 1/8" to 6 AN for the back of the heads with a 45* connector on the pass side and a 45* adapter for the driver side. This made it easyier to run the lines.
I use a 1/8" T to hook in the lines going to the back of the heads and to hook in the feed for fuel.I ran the pass side line down under the turbo pedestal and to the T.The driver side line I ran with the valve cover and then to the T.
Had to show you guys this one!I ran out of time and didn't have my bracket made for the regulator yet so......A little electrical tape did the job to get me home.
I reused the stock return line for now.
I have a lot of touching up to do as far as covering lines and making sure everthing works the way I want.I will also remove the stock fuel lines and run a new return line back to the tank.

Fuel filters
With having the fuel bowl gone I had to make up my own filter set up.I went with napa brand filters.Just because they are easy to get.
I used a peice of 6" channel for the bracket. This way I could go around the E-brake cable.
I moved the fuel pump with the filters.Just made it easier to put things together.
I made the bracket so it is removable. If I ever have trouble I can just unbolt and fix.I use holes allready in the frame to bolt to.
I am going to make a cover for the pump and filter to keep mud, dirt and rocks off of them.

nice pics what did this set you back ($$) to do? where did you get your parts? what brand regualtor and stuff did you use? i have been comtemplateing buying one from dyno fuel alternitive just the small one that connects in the back for like $200. how much better is this set up?
Buy a kit from someone!!!It would of been nice just to have all the parts there. You can DIY but this was time consuming for me.I stuck about $400 or so in this kit.Not counting the run around time to get the parts.
Aeromotive regulator!I have had it for a while.
2 45* 1/8" to 6 an fittings (front of heads)
2 straight 1/8" to 6 an fittings (rear of heads)
1 45* adapter(drivers side rear of head)
1 Regulator
1 1/8" pipe thread Tee + 3 1/8" to 6 an fittings.
3/8" diesel rated fuel line.
You can use 6 an push lock fittings on you line and make your own. That way you cut your hose to what ever size you need.
I kept everything 6 An(3/8") fittings.

Thanks guys! It was hard work and took more time than I wanted it to.
Now I can play with how much fuel the engine is getting.

the second part of his kit will make you happy..it will replace the stock 1/4 inch fuel lines feeding the heads with a 3/8 line..the kit also takes out the restricter in the heads allowing more fuel to get into the injectors..i like the regulator over the T he uses..when i need to use my fuel to make more power i can adjust for it at a turn of a ****..then cut it back for the joy rides or trips...i scored my DI RR on the classifieds for 150 bucks un used..i have about 300 from the huch and harpoon all the way to the heads..deleting the bowl does nothing but give you a cleaner valley...my bowl delete cost me 15 bucks plus the trip to Napa...

Brad, do you notice much difference in how the truck feels and runs? I've been thinking of adding the 2nd part of the DinoFuelAlternatives kit to mine as I already have the his return kit. Mine seems to run out of fuel WOT pulling the trailer. thinking this might help. opinions?
