I have a 06 six speed new clutch and new ficm. Truck wants to chug or dog hunch while pulling loaded trailer on inclines or starting off on incline. Any suggestions
yes the egr can very definitely cause this. pull the valve, clean and inspect. let us know how that works for you, before you start panicking about FICM's
Excuse my ignorance by the egr sticking what is the mechanical reason for it to cause the chug or skip
By letting to much exhaust gas back in
EGR= Exhaust Gas Return
Since Exhaust gas has been combusted prior to going back into the intake manafold there is nothing left to Burn again so you dont get Good combustion or a Weak BOOM in cylinder
They get a carbon buidup on them and start to stick open letting to much uncombustable material back in
so Pull and clean it dont get cleaner in upper electronic part threw the weep holes just clean lower valve part
