Interior lights kill switch

My 2000 X Limited has no kill switch for the interior lights ( at least that I can discover). I am concerned that in situations where doors or tailgate are open for long periods I will drain the battery.

My '99 Suburban had one..it was a handy assist.

Any suggestions?

Ondoc & Monsta,

You won't drain the battery (to dead that is). Manual states (and yes I have tested this) that after 30 minutes the lights go out.

Still would be nice to turn off the interior lights when I want.

All of my other trucks were able to do this.

Never said it would.

That is what the "mod" is for.
