Wicked Wheel VS BD Wheel?

I am considering one of these turbo compressor wheels as an upgrade on my '01. Does anybody know of any seat of the pants difference between the two? The vane geometry seems too different for there not to be IMOH. Thanks in advance for the input!

They are the same thing.

The following compressor wheels are by in large the same:

- Wicked wheel (WW)
- Banks Upgrade Wheel
- BD Upgrade Wheel
- e99 OEM Wheel

I changed mine out to a ww(thanks Todd) and their was no seat of the pants feel. My sole reason was to eliminate the compressor stalling when towing my TT on an uphill climb. Problem solved.

Thats because the WW is not an upgrade, it actually flows slightly less air, and that is why it solves surge.

Its still the stock turbo even with a batmoemptyyourwallet...

All the compressor wheels you can get are the same. They are NOT a performance upgrade. Just a bandaid for surge.

I hear ya Joe. My $400 would go toward a different turbo but I am curious if that batmowheel provides a discernable change in anything other than surge.

It will improve the turbo, without a doubt...

However its still the stock center section, which will struggle with higher then stock boost levels.

Put the new wheel with a 1.00 housing will help.
