Hey guys I am usually not in this part of this site but My mom and dad are looking at a 2004 Ford Excursion 4x4 Triton V10. I am familiar with the V10 as we own a 2002 Ford F250 4x4 Triton V10. My mom needs a truck that is 4x4 big enough to haul 6 people and a boat when needed. Our boat has to be pulled by a 3/4 ton which I know the Excursion is. My question is how good is the Excursion? How much diffrence is it from our 2002 Ford F250 4x4? I know about gas milage but we don't care about that. Do you guys think this thing could haul our 16 Ft flatbed trailer with about a ton to 3 tons of scrap metal if needed. We aren't trading in the 2002 that is staying right here. Also is 72000 miles really that low for an 04? Also it is running 20 inch wheels is that going to affect the truck? You can see the Excursion if you go to horneshowlow.com it is the silver one with black wheels?

Even if it has the 3.73 gears, it will pull your flatbed nicely. I pull a 5000# travel trailer with mine and it does very will. If I recall, the Excursions have an 11,000# towing capacity.
78k miles is low. That is less than 10k per year. As you know, the V10 will last a lot longer than that.
I am not sure of the Gears. It is a big fancy truck like previous ones. How would I find out if it has RAS? I know it has the Rear sway bar. I think they towed a travel trailer with it before it is a two owner truck.

Well we aren't getting that Excursion because of the fact the delarship is crazy. They want $8000 down plus our 1987 Plymouth Reliant and our 1986 F150 4x4 plus payments. That is to much at that much the truck should be paid off in full.

An Excursion sounds like exactly what they need and is perfectly suited for their requirements. Just a matter of finding the right one. 78K is fairly low miles. 16K sounds a bit high for that truck, but the pictures don't show much. If it's in exceptional condition, might be worth it.
Always a lot of EX's available in Phoenix.
If you couldn't tell, most everybody here LOVES their EX!
