I can get 12 lbs on pump diesel. More then 15 psi on wmo blend, but I have let off the go pedal before my pistons melt

What differences did you notice when you intercooled your truck? Iv been looking into intercooling my truck, obviously I can expect lower egt's, but what about power difference? Did you use a 7.3 or 6.0 cac? Ill be going to some junkyards soon, hopefully to find a good intercooler from a SD

Big difference. Drop in egts alone is enough of a reason for me. Inlet of IC is a bit warm but the outlet feels cold to the touch so your getting all that nice cold compressed air, that dropped my smoke level down considerably too. I also have my IP maxed out. Sure it helped my MPG but I can't keep my foot out of it

Edit: and it only costs about 150$ for the intercooler!

IC is totally worth it... Big bang for buck.

60-1 wheel is good for a little extra flow over the stocker, but still limits you as far as efficiency goes... If you are going to stay around the typical sub-15psi ranges, it will do good, and be better than stock, but if you want to bump the boost up some, its probably not the best upgrade...

I found an intercooler today in a jy for 100 bucks, its out of a 02 7.3. Would this suit me fine or should I try to find 6.0 cooler? Is any 1 better than the other

Im starting to seriously wonder what i have going on with my setup. People talking about high egts and smoke at 10-15psi... where as mine doesnt even smoke past 1 and only hazes until 3-5, my little stock pump is maxxed. Ill have a new toy to try out soon enough and find out what is going on

They're not going to work out. I would have been better off buying only the cooler then buying then measuring and ordering the pipes separately.
