Spotted this gem in Burney California when I was up the shooting the fires in the region. The truck was for sale for $5K.

Top one is/was a hiboy chassis
Next down is/was a 2wd reg. cab chassis of the dentside variety
I couldn't tell on the bottom chassis ?

Yeah that's what I thought that was. The bottom one looks like another ford truck chassis. Judging by the cross members looks another dent or maybe even a bumpside chassis.

In my unit there have been the following, I'll work on pictures when i can.

79 Bronco Lariat XLT this thing was cherry. Guy just retired.
78 Bronco with a soft top.
77 F250 2wd Custom - Mine
77 F150 4x4 - with a built 460 Race motor
78 F100 2wd Shortbed - 302, C4 sweet little truck
a 75 F100 owned by some very unfriendly Captain. Wouldn't talk to me about it.

plus two bumpsides, a 1955 F1, and every generation of ford pickup to date. I really want to get a big family photo.

Passed by this one many times. I had a few minutes today so I knocked on the door and met Mr James. Had a nice conversation about the truck and how he'd had it for 20 years after his brother in law died and how he just hadn't seen the need to get another truck.
