FTE equivalent for Chebbies, preferrably classics???

Ok, so please don't bust my cajones too much, but we just made a deal on a 1954 Chevrolet 3800, 1-Ton. My wife has been wanting a classic truck for scootin' around town for quite some time, and we ran across this one today that is in good mechanical shape and great structural shape. We actually love the way the body looks right now, too, though it will need some TLC before long. Because it's mechanically sound, we can do little things to it here and there, but not have to worry about a full restoration. It is all original also, which I am digging. Anyways, I need to know if there is a place for the chebby guys that is even half as good as FTE, because I'm sure going to have a lot of questions. Thanks, and here's a pic of the ol' girl.

Nice find. Old vehicles are not necessarily a bad thing to have. Doesn't really matter make or model. Classics are a great hobby.

Sorry can't help with a forum recommendation, but gotta say I dig your new-to-you truck! Just don't dig next to that warning post. I'm dreaming of a 48-52 Ford myself, but all trucks of that era are cool.

Nice score Robert. I like all old vehicles from 79 and older. Dont matter who the manufacture is, they were built with real thick US steel.

I'm sad to say the deal fell through. Oh well, probably didn't need to spend the money anyways.

It was a nice truck. And they are very simple to work on.

Not to mention that when the EMP blasting starts taking place, these old cars and trucks will be the only things that aren't affected.

But I've been coveting my neighbor's 1970 Maverick 2 door for the last 34 years.

The 51 year old car has been driven daily for all the time I've known of it.

For about 7 years straight it was missing a lug nut, as I would hear it rattling around inside the dog dish hub caps. That got fixed about 10 years ago.

Never seems to have skipped a beat. No 4G-LTE tracking, no EMP, no PCM. Simple straight forward compact transportation.
