Maybe a Dorman oil cooler is the ticket you need to get stuff in that there F250 that you want ! Just take the heads and intake manifolds + exhaust manifolds off and pull the sucker and overhaul it. When you pull your heads off you can put them back on a new/rebuilt short block with gaskets and intake after the short block is dropped in. Pulling the tires gets you into that wheel well area so U can open up the engine bay so you can get at the Manifolds and etc. Sure In your outdoor lean2 made from a tarp or the heat of your Garage you work the crap out of a week but U did it yourself. Yea a DIY home project that saves $1000's cause you could !
Got a motor from a f150.
took motor out of my f250
Bolted motor to bell housing of trans got motor mounts in. Ect..
I go to hook up the power steering pump an to me the timing case is different. From the old motor. The 150 motor had a spot for an extra pulley where the one that came out of the truck did not..I was wondering if I typed both the vins in an the motor is coming up the same why would they change anything. What do I have to change from a 150 5.4 to work on my f250?. If it's a matter of just the timing case then that's straight bull****. Ford can go to hell. My f250 power steering pump wont bolt up to the 150 5.4 because of the bigger oil cooler for the 250. I dont want to eliminate the oil cooler. I'm just wondering if I'm not seeing something right. Idk.
I was able to remove my motor from the top. Didn’t need to remove the cab or drop it from below. All we did was pull off the hood and jack up the transmission as well as pull out nearly everything else.

Same here disconnected the exhaust pipes at the first joint. Really wasn't to bad. Just make sure you put the dipsticks especially the transmission in place before putting new motor in.
