Trying to keep this short. Quick background, trans vent was plugged, dipstick pushed out and atf leaked onto the exhaust manifold and caught on fire. It was put out pretty quickly and the vent issue was fixed and the truck was only moved through the driveway. 2 days later after just sitting it was driven a short distance and they told me (I'm at work) that it wouldn't respond to the gas peddle so they turned around and took my focus instead.
now, thinking that the wiring for the ecm goes Over where the fire was located I'm looking for a pinout/schematic so I can look for the throttle based wiring in and out of the pcm. And also wondering how often there are throttle peddle issues on these?
I'm trying to plan my attack method for this evenings diagnosis/fix so I don't have to waste time after work locating and finding the stuff I need when I could be actually working on the problem. I'm thinking it will most likely be a broken/burnt wire but incase it isn't obvious I'd like 5o know which one to direct my attention to. I think its most likely related to the fire issue vs just wearing out of another component.
