01 keyless entry
just bought an 01 f-350.i thought the batteries were dead in my remotes so i bought new ones but they still dont work.the door locks work with the buttons on the door but not the remotes.is there a fuse missing or blown somewhere or do they need reprogrammed.
if they need reprogrammed how do i do this.

My 2000 has the same instructions for programming a remote. I read it right out of my owners manual, but after the 5th key cycle to on; the door locks cycle to confirm programming.
If I continue on to 8 key cycles, programming does not work. If I stop on the 5th key cycle and press the remote button the remote programs just fine. Not sure if the manual was wrong or something in the truck but that is the way mine worked.
