miles out of tires

I was wondering how many miles on average everyone gets out of a set of tires? I was only getting like 20,000 out of mine until I did my ball joints and I checked my current set has 18,000 and looks almost new. I hear people getting crazy mileage out of them, but I guess my...er.. driving style limits mine somewhat heh heh.

Driving habits, softness or harder the rubber and inflation practices as well as you know play parts but my best mileage came from a Bridgestone AT Revos 265's. Almost 70,000 miles but were slicks at that point, great tire, pricey though now..

Got 7 years (~70k) out of my last set. Replaced them with the exact same tires a week ago.

Cooper tires are a really good tire, price wise too, had them on my old 2000 Lincoln town car, 55's to be exact, looked good, filled the wheel wells perfectly and rode like a dream.

My truck doesn't see that many miles, so mine 'date out' and dry rot before tread wear is an issue.

I'm getting new Toyo M/T 37's next week, I'll let you know in 3 years how many miles I get out of them The tires I have currently are from a trade I did off of Craigslist, can't really comment on their life. I have gotten 40,000 out of BFG All terrains, and 35,000 out of the BFG Mudders in the past.

So far Ive got 60,000 on my Firestone Transforce ATs, in two years ive never rotated the tires, they are wearing evenly, still got good tread left. Im guessing it will be needing new tires somewhere between 70k and 80k miles on this set. Cant complain one bit about this set of tires.

I loves me some transforce tires. I have two on the front and a really aggresive good year wrangler set on the back. Only because I bought the goodyears first trying to avoid getting stuck on wet grass.

Toyo MT's...

37-13.5-17, load range E 4300# each.

450k total miles on 6 sets...

Will never run another tire so long as they are made.

What a subject. I have had the same tire a couple times and got way diffrent life out of em. But I have been having real good luck with Yoko's Geolanders over 70 on the first set. over 40 so far on this set, but thinking it might not quite make the 70 this time. Should still get around 60 though and I pull a 14 ft enclosed daily. 5-8k lbs.
Someone a few posts up said Revos where there best. That is why I say this subject is something, Revos got me my worst mileage, but could have been some of the above mentioned factors who knows.
