I posted this in the other forum but thinks its more appropriate here. I need to switch out the high pressure line, its leaking at the pump. I can get the "top" fitting off but the one on the pump I cant get the wrench to go on.
the one on the steering box was 5/8" and came off nicely. I could even come close to getting the flarenut wrench on the other one.
Is there a trick? I can clearly see the fitting but cant get the wrench on it....thanks for any help cuz I am at wits end...tried for 2 hours to get it on there but to no avail....
When I replaced the viton seal on the end of the hose at the pump on mine I also had to use a crows foot on a 1/2" drive with a long extention to get it out of the way of everything to break it free. You should warm the seals in hot water to soften them to help get them on the hose fitting. It's a real tight fit.
