Flywheel Question help!!

Hi everybody..i need help!!! Im swapping a 300/6 into my 68 f100 from a 360. Its had a 4 speed t18. I was able to find the right sb bellhousing..but i was wondering if i could use the same flywheel?? I believe they both called for 11" but not sure. Im not changing trannys either.

Also..would i have to completely change my clutch?i.e. pressure plate..clutch disc..etc for a 300/6? Or would my clutch and disk work from my 360?

You'll need a 300 flywheel. FE and SBF are not the same thing.

As long as you get one that will accept your current 11" clutch, you can reuse that stuff.

Thats what i thought..hmm..now where to find a good used flywheel...is there specifics ond how many teeth it should have?

Don't really know much about I6 motors. They made small versions back in the 60-70's, so don't use one of those(170/200/250ci).

I have already looked to lmc haha all ot looked like they had were ring gears..im going to have to get a new one haha

Haha i appdeciate it. I figured theyd sell full flywheels..but theres nothin! Ive checked..ill have to end up goin tl ebay or summit

C5TZ-6375-N .. 240 & 300 I-6 (Light Duty) Flywheel-164T Ring Gear / Obsolete

Marked: C7AE-6375-C / (6) 5/16" -18 pressure plate attaching holes on a 12 3/8" bolt circle / Use with 11" clutch.

Applications: 1965/72 Galaxie/LTD 240 I-6 / 1965/66 F100/250 2WD 240/300 I-6 / 1967/74 F100/350 240/300 I-6 / 1975/79 F100/350 300 I-6.

Econoline is not the same as above and the 300 flywheel is different after 1979.
