Shifter cable removal

I can't tell without standing on my head under the dash, but how does the shifter cable disconnect from the column end? This is a 96 F250 with E4OD by the way. I don't want to just pull or pry it off and break something that i should have done first.

Three Torx-27 bolts if we're thinking of the same thing. They will be facing backwards as you are sitting in the seat, so you have to wrap around with an L-key (can't remember if a ratchet would fit back there).

Edit - I don't know if this makes a difference, but I had the column lowered a bit when I did this and I also had removed the other Torx bolts holding the shifter tube in, so maybe that helped a bit.

It was the cable i was trying to disconnect. I pryed it gently and it popped off like a throttle cable. Thanks though.
