I JUST finished installing flowmaster 50 series with 2 1/2" pipe , dual exhaust, and headers. I swapped out the flowmaster 44's for the 50's. It is nearly the same for exhaust sound but I expected it to be more quiet. It was an ever so slight adjustment as I felt it was too loud. Motor is a fresh well built 428. It sounds pretty mean

I'm in the works of making a set of stainless headers with 2" primaries,3/8" flanges and Stainlessheaders.com tri y 16 gauge ,304 stainless collectors. They should be pretty bad ***. I'll most likely go up to 3" pipe but I fear it's only gonna get louder!! Lol

So far all I got is the merge collectors http://stainless.eclipticcms.com/ima...0Collector.JPG

They're more of Mustang thing I guess but I've got 3 inch MAC dumps on my truck, and my 1992 Mustang. They sound great.
On my truck I've got L&L fenderwell headers into a 4 foot section of 3" straight pipe and then these.

Glasspacks won't last as long but they will flow better. Your best bet is to get a muffler with glass pack flow but better construction, such as Magnaflow as previously mentioned or Dynomax ultra flows.

Thats funny. Chevy has more wins in racing than any other brand.

Every other last generation Mustang GT with the little 5.0 has them......they all sound just alike.......all sound and no go......Although I'm not a big fan of Chevy trucks........I do have one of their Z06 Corvettes.....

Thanks for all the help guys. When I need a bit of advice I can always count on the FTE bunch. I went with the 50 series Delta Flow Flowmasters. Nice deep sound. A bit on the loud side but I like listening to the work and money I put in the motor.
