"Factory" Tailgate/Light Hinge holes

Here's a couple picts of the original holes for the tailgate hinge and taillight mount. The support actually has a nut in a "nut box holder" welded on the inside of the support (which doesn't come on the repopped ones.) The second pict shows that. If you don't have the holes, you're supposed to set the tailgate in an open position and line up the bed wood top with the inside surface of the tailgate, insert the hinges and they (the hinges) will show you where to drill !

The 2" mark is centered on the upper hole.

P.S. If you already have the hook latches set for the tailgate, you probably should latch it, then insert the hinge ends for drilling position.

This is measured from the base of the side panel (when it folds in).

That is exactly what I needed. My truck has no tailgate and no holes for the hinges or lights, so I was about to guesstimate and drill! This will work so much better. Thanks again!
