I need a spare tire rack for my 1946 ford truck. There's no room to mount a spare under the truck. I guess it would have to be mounted inside the bed or on the outside between the rear fender and cab. Anyone have any ideas where I can get a rack and where the best place to mount it?
Here's a close up of it (since I was here and had nothing better to do )
PS: When you look all bed same 1938-50 (had raised panel), 51-72 very similar and raised panel doesn't affect tire mount, so you can expand your search.
The spare tire mount is sold by Northern CLassic, who also make all types of reproduction steel parts for the 42-49 Ford trucks. I think they charge about $100 for the part.
