I'm New Here!!!
Hello... I'm new here. I'm NOT new to Ford though. My first truck was a 78 Ford F150 2WD w/ 351M/C6. It had 260K miles when I blew the 351M and installed a 460 4 barrel. Two trannies later, I sold my truck. I absolutely LOVED that truck and fully regret giving it up ever since.
I have also owned the following:
92 Mustang LX 2.8?
93 Ranger XLT 3.0
86 Bronco 4x4 Eddie Bauer Edition - 6" lift 35x12.5" tires 351W.
71 Bronco 302
93 Explorer 4x4 Eddie Bauer Edition 4.0L
Now I have:
97 Expedition 4x4 Eddie Bauer Edition 5.4L.
98 Ford F150 4x4 Extended Cab Short bed 4.6L 5 speed.
I wanted a SD for the longest time but decided to be realistic with my needs. Someday, I'll get a SD but, I didn't need it now.
Other than Ford, I've also had a few Jeeps:
76 Cherokee
73 CJ5
77 CJ7
99 TJ - 5.75" lift 35x12.5" tires - Full setup.
I recently bought the 98 F150 to replace my 99TJ for my Daily Driver. I'm looking at getting another EB. Most likely a 72. I'm parting out my 99 TJ and selling the parts to get rid of any extra bills I have so I can get the 72 and start building it right away.
My wife drives the Expedition. I get the truck. I'm happy with this setup. There are a few things I'd like to do to my truck though. Once I get rid of the DC Crap Box in my driveway. I'd like a 2" lift and 33ish tires on my truck. I'm also looking for a winch bumper setup. I already have a Warn HS9500I to install. Maybe a locable toneau cover, roll away possible. And a nice stereo system with good bass and all. MP3 player will be a must...
Since I've been driving a topless Jeep, I haven't spent any time looking at truck accessories. Anyone have any good places for me to start looking?
Thanks...
I'm ALL FORD
WELCOME to the SOURCE, MAN!!!
~Without a doubt the best FORD TRUCK website on the internet, bar none...
I tell ya what -
Have a look around. I guarantee that no matter what you want to do to your truck - you will find an expert here!
And as an optional jump-start:
My CLUB FTE MEMBERPAGE has a directory listing a whole TRUCKLOAD of accessory/custom parts on it (not affiliated with CLUB FTE, but nice to know about).
For GENUINE FORD REPLACEMENTS though - you need look no further! Take a look at what's available at MOTOR HAVEN right here at CLUB FTE. All the goodies you need to put a classic restore back in streetable order, and manuals for all FORD trucks going right back to the very first one to the present day...
This particular place on the world wide web was built by collectors and restorers of FORD TRUCKS who were sharing information and resources to build up their own personal trucks (there's a history page somewhere around here) and it grew over time to what you see here now...
So take your time, check everything out, read the rules, and WELCOME ABOARD!!!
Thank you all...
I didn't notice the introduction page. I posted on the General Converstaion page. Thank God for moderators who are all over it like stink on poop. I'm lost and I can't find my... Oh nevermind...
