EGR Delete

I have a 05 with the 6spd I am planing on doing the egr delete and wondering if I need any programing or I can just delete and leave the truck as is? I have had the egr unplugged since the truck was about a week old and never had a cel. It also has the cat and muffler removed.

For what its worth,

I have an 05 6-speed and deleted the egr during the repair of the STC fitting on the HPOP. No engine light. No codes via my scanguageII. Seems to run a lot better with the egr deleted. I just welded everything shut and cut the scoop out of the factory up pipe. Also left the egr valve in place and plugged in.

For the record, you want to leave the EGR valve plugged in...even if your cooler has been deleted/blocked off. The last several re-flashes have the PCM looking for the EGR valve...if it doesn't "see it" it won't spool the radiator fan to prevent overheating.

If it hasnt triggered the Cel being unplugged this long odds are you should be able to egr deleate ok and not get a DTC or CEL

But do like Zach mentions deleate cooler but keep valve installed and plugged in
