Nostalgic Air in Tampa, Fl has a conversion mount. You'll need to take your lines to an A/C shop to have the proper lines made to match the compressor.
The one thing I would do differently is I would have made the hose that goes from the compressor to the condenser with a 135 degree fitting rather than the 90 degree I used. I think it would have made for a cleaner looking installation.
I have an FE in my truck. The upper bracket that ties the support bracket to the compressor is one that I fabricated.
I think Vintage Air also has the brackets to do the conversion.
Here's a link to a short post that I wrote on the subject. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...onversion.html www.nostalgicairparts.com
looks very nice !!! but alas there are no shops here that make a/c lines
Thanks.
That kinda sucks. You might find a place that you could UPS your old ones to and have them make new ones.
You would need to send the old ones because they cut the odd shaped tubing end off and braze it on new fittings. You would also need to do this twice because the 90 degree elbows that connect to the compressor have to be "clocked" in the correct position before they are crimped to the hose.
The shop I used made up the hoses, crimping the odd end to the hose. I then took the hoses and elbows home, installed the hose and twisted the elbows untill they lined up with the compressor fittings. I marked their position and took them back to the shop to have them crimped on.
