im probly gonna get luaghed out of town for this one but im stupid when it comes to most of this stuff and want to ask the pros about it before i waste money. first off i want to ask if a 30 dollar exuast tip on my stock sytem will change the sound at all. im running a 94 aerostar with a 3.0. second with that engine would it be worth it to try some glass packs to change the sound of the exuast note at all with out that rat farting in a tin can. i want to have some sound coming from it but without sounding like a rice burner. is this possible, or am i stuck with the serene whisper of the stock exuast.
Don't buy the tip! Get a Flowmaster 60 Series Delta Flow(flowmastermufflers.com), they are for 4 and 6cyl. vehicles.
Also get a stainless tip.......they are maintenance free compared to chrome tips. The Flowmaster's come in stainless now also.
Post the the results no matter what you decide to do.
I don't know if this would even apply to you but, I bought a 40 series and a 3.5 inch tip for my truck. I only had the time to install the tip right away and man... what a difference in sound... I have a different motor than you . I have the 5.4 v8. I have a sound clip with everything stock (motor and exhaust) with just a 3.5 in tip. Listen here
