Well even stainless steel can rust some but Magnaflow has a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the truck so it should be any problem getting a replacement for it.
Ok. Finally got some time this morning to get the AMP research steps installed on the truck. These things are AWESOME!! So when a door on one side of the truck opens the step drops down and will remain open until all the doors on that side are closed for 3 seconds and then it tucks up under the cab.
I didn't get any installation pics but here is the final product.
Next up...
I've got some of the King Ranch leather conditioner coming in a few days so I'll work on fixing up the interior a little and I'll probably remove the dealer emblem.
Also, my bumper should be ready to ship sometime this week and then it will be here a week later......
So I checked with the bumper people and they said it's getting powder coated right now and will ship as soon as they get it back. I should get it a week after that!!
Now I'm just trying to decide which 4" lift I should go with. The biggest thing I want is a level truck at the end of it so I'm trying to figure out if I need a leveling kit with the lift kit or just the lift kit. Research is always fun.
I've also been looking at different wheels but I may just stick with the ones I've got and get them powder coated black.
Most lift kits would require new wheels as they need a certain amount of back spacing for them. 4" lift kits you only have a few options which fall under Skyjacker, Rancho, or Rough Country.
Skyjacker is a nice kit but the professionals I talked to said its a PITA to install.
Rancho is a great kit with kicker braces, one piece sub frame, can reuse factory wheels, and no front spacers it uses new struts. Down side is the new struts and rear shocks are separate from the order and it is more expensive then some kits.
Rough Country is a good kit to but kicker braces are extra and it uses 4" front spacers instead of new struts. This kit also has a two piece sub frame.
Personally I like the Rancho kit even with the extra cost but I figure its worth the extra money. There is also a way to get the kit cheaper then most places and close to the same cost as the skyjacker or RCX kit.
Got the leather conditioner in so I will be fixing up my seats this weekend. They are not too bad but I'd like to keep them that way. I'll post before and after pics to see if the conditioner really works.
Also, got some plastidip in so I'm going to try my hand at blacking out the emblems on the truck since black and white will be the end result of the truck. And I plan on removing the dealer tag this weekend too.
Didn't you say you were going to have the tan lower quarter pannels on your truk rhino lined? If you don't mind me asking, how much was the estimate they gave you?
I have not gotten an estimate yet. I'm waiting to do this until some other things happen so I only have to do it once. But once I do I'll be sure to post the estimate they gave me.
