Guys, I have a 2012 F350 that came without the clearance lights on top of the cab. I carefully drilled all the holes this weekend, mounted the lights, and it went perfectly.....with one exception. I can't find anywhere (in the cab) to power them...... I want them to come on when my parking lights are on, just like the factory clearance lights. I have seen some posts in other forums that have details for 2008 and 2009 models but nothing for 2011 or later. Another forum said to look for the "C913 connector" just above the brake pedal.....apparently this connector would have supplied power for the factory lights. Anybody done this before on a 2011 or 2012? Anybody know where I could tap power (in the cab) to hook these up to the parking lights?
Here's a picture of the new lights....just can't get them to come on :-)
Thanks for the reply. I've seen a bunch of info on the 2008 and 2009 models, but can't find any help on the 2011 or 2012. Was hoping somebody knew a good spot to splice into the parking lights.
If I can't figure this out soon, I may just run a line to the parking lights in the front of the truck.
the connector should be behind the kick panel on the passengers side. by the way... this is not my pic. it was one i had found on this site. thanks to whomever posted the original pic.
Thanks! This doesn't look like a 2011 or 2012? My truck doesn't have anything that looks like this on the passenger side? Kick plate area looks much different on my F350?
