parts needed for a d60 swap

I just did this a couple months back...Literally takes less than a half a day if your rolling the axle in and out. We rebuilt front and rear axles from the carrier out when we did it however.
Finding that damn cast piece can be a bitch so make sure they give you that with the axle. Also use new U bolts. I had a CCSB and had to have the front shaft shortened as well.... You can get it in there if you want to but it sure as hell does not leave much room for compression on the driver side and over time will cause issues on the T case so spending a few bucks to have it shortened now saves you a lot down the road.... I'd get it ballanced too while your at it.
I did use the stock 250 front springs that I actually had an add a leaf added into due tto the weight of the winch and 300lb bumper I have up front.....holy **** does it ride like hell. I'm hoping down the road here I can get a set of 4 inch lift springs that will sag down under the weight yet ride softer than what is under there now.
The only reason I know this is because after buying a f350 a few months later it rides like a Cadilac compared to the 250. I know this is because of the springs up front, as well as the heavy pack I had made for the rear 6 years back for towing a very tongue heavy 15k boat.
