Want some almost free Rancho 9000 shocks? Rancho is having their annual $500 rebate on shocks and lift. You can go on amazon and get the four shocks for around $300 depending on which ones u need. And just pick a cheap lift off their list. I bought one for a jeep which I didn't need as I don't own a jeep. It was $185. All together it came to $517. Mail off ur rebate they send u a mastercard w/ $500 on it. Maybe the crazy couponer in me but I mailed back the lift kit as I didn't need it AFTER I got my rebate back and amazon gave me 80% refund. (If it's more than 30 days there is a 20% restocking fee.) I did this a couple of years back. I'll check the current prices. But with the $500 rebate u should be able to get a real good deal on shocks and lift (even if u really do want their lift). This time I'm gonna keep the lift as my daughter wants a jeep in a few years when she starts driving, and I'm pretty sure she'll want a lift cause she is of course being raised by ME. lol And I never know when I could use a spare set of shocks/strutts around!!
Okay got the Jeep lift on amazon for $228 free shipping no tax. And the four shocks/strutts from StreetSide for a grand total of $290 free shipping and $30 off orders of $300 or more AFQ11230. That makes it $518, after the $500 back, I'll have spent $18 for a spare set of shocks and a lift kit for a jeep I don't own. LOL
It took about 2 months last time. I just ended up ordering again with SIL address so I could get the dually new shocks too. The RS6444 is the only kit that will get u in cheap. It apparently is only a front lift for the jeep. I don't really care, so long as I get the shock/struts free/ close to free. I don't know of any other stores that will let u return anything after 30 days other than amazon. That's why I keep buying it from them....
Thanks for the post riggers. I am replacing my shocks and planned to research today. The most interesting thing was when I got everything into my Amazon cart I scrolled down and saw:

Hmm I haven't even thought of replacing them on my own. Are they fairly easy to do? I think those are for keeping the kiddies out of the way. U throw down some bear shaped pancakes then run outside to get as much done as u can before they come asking, "Whatcha doin?"
The front shocks on the Excursion are simple to install, you don't even need to jack up the truck and remove the wheels. On mine, I just cranked the wheels to the left to access both the drivers and passenger side lower shock bolt. Just remember that you have to wrench on the head of the bolt, the nut has some type of retainer that keeps it from spinning. The rears are not much harder (my Ex is lifted 3" and I didn't need to jack the rear up either), just a little more difficult to get to the upper bolts. You will need a couple of extensions to reach them. Since the S9000Xl's are adjustable they are very easy to compress if needed, just set them on one.
Hey riggers...lady you rock. I ordered my shocks last week and thought I was getting a good deal but now I just ordered my jeep suspension kit for a vehicle I do not own.
Now my shocks are super cheap and as you say almost free.
I just was thinking many of u guys may not be rebate savvy. LOL. So please be forewarned u have to get the 9000xl series shocks to get the $500 rebate. Please make sure u read the rebate form and make sure u get the right parts for it, ya know? And a tip from a long time couponer, make a COPY of ur receipts to send in with the form. Not the originals as sometimes they get lost in the mail etc... Not such a big deal on a small rebate but when u go and buy a jeep lift kit u don't need in order to qualify for a rebate u wanna make sure it doesn't get lost! Rancho also has a $50 rebate for those not wanting to do the jeep lift kit thing.
I also found a $75 rebate for Dynomax exhaust, are those good? I found the exhaust for hubby's truck for $238, not their nicest one, but the older model, after 75 rebate would make it $163, not sure if it really improves anything though? Although the exhaust on there is not almost 10 years old. I guess never hurts to update?
